Education
Sunday School for age 2 through adult meets every Sunday from 9:35 am to 10:40 am. For children, the education hour begins with a music class and rehearsal (Cherub Choir, Angel Choir, Youth Choir, and Hand chimes). Adult classes meet from 9:45-10:40 am (after coffee fellowship).
Every year a Vacation Bible School is held, usually the third week of June, for children age 2 through Middle School. Classes are generally held evenings, begin with a community meal, and the schedule goes from 5:15 pm to 8:00 pm.
Catechism Classes
A 2 1⁄2 year series of catechism classes introduce those 6th grade or older to the big story of the Bible, Luther’s Small Catechism, Christian history, and Lutheran worship. Classes begin when the public school year starts in August and finish in early May. At the end of the process is an essay, a Confirmation banquet, and Confirmation on the last Sunday in October. If you have a youth 6th grade or older, please contact the Church Office or one of the Pastors to enroll in the catechism program.
WOMEN’S GROUPS
A Lutheran Women’s Missionary League group meets monthly (except July and August) for Bible study, to plan mission projects, and to work with other LWML groups in our Zone, District, and Synod. A group of Crafty Women quilt for Lutheran World Relief as part of our support of those in need throughout the world.
JUST FOR MEN
The Men's Club of Grace Lutheran Church is for adult men of all ages and provides opportunities for fellowship, support and service. Meeting on the third Monday of the month, they enjoy a meal together, a program, and many other activities.
Serving Others
Grace supports a host of local, regional, and larger missions – including those within our local community who serve the poor, homeless, hungry, and those in need right here. These include our Food Pantry, FUEL, Hope Pregnancy Center, Angel Tree, Loaves and Fishes, Operation Christmas Child, Urban Ministries, Food for the Poor, Lutheran Disaster Relief, Lutheran World Relief, and many more. If you would like to support these, click on the agency and you will be directed to their website or contact the Church Office for more information.
What We Believe
Lutherans are orthodox Christians who confess the Trinity and who believe in Jesus Christ, the only Son of God and perfect man, who died for all and rose to those who believe in Him eternal life. We confess the catholic creeds as faithful summaries of the Scriptures and believe the Word of God speaks without error the eternal truths of God. Lutherans joyfully celebrate the gifts of forgiveness, peace, hope, life, and salvation won by Jesus on the cross and freely bestowed through the means of grace (Word and Sacraments) to all who believe in Him.
